LTC Dale Johnson
Lieutenant Colonel Johnson has distinguished himself in every assignment
throughout his career.
Beginning as an aviation officer and culminating as Chief, Litigation
Branch, Environmental Law Division, he has been routinely marked by his
superiors for his uncommonly exceptional intellectual and leadership
abilities. His service as
Deputy Staff Judge Advocate for the 1st Armored Division and deployment
to LTC
Mitchell R. Chitwood
Lieutenant Colonel Chitwood’s proven dedication,
dynamic leadership and exceptional abilities reflect great credit on the
United States Army Reserve.
Apart from having served in Saudia Arabia as the Brigade Judge Advocate
to the 12th Aviation Brigade during Operations Desert Shield
and Desert Storm, he has contributed greatly to the Trial Defense
Service and the 22d Legal Support Organization’s reputation for
excellence. He has supported
the Global War on Terrorism by ensuring that all defense counsel and
paralegals were properly trained and ready for mobilization and
deployment in Operations Noble Eagle, Enduring Freedom, and Iraqi
Freedom. He is an expert on
Reserve Component defense matters.
From wartime to peacetime service, Lieutenant Colonel Chitwood’s
steadfast dedication to the law and total commitment to mission
accomplishment are the hallmarks of his exceptional career. Lt Col James Dapper
Lieutenant Colonel Dapper’s strong leadership, keen
legal acumen, and dynamic personality exemplify his career as an Air
Force Judge Advocate.
Colonel Dapper has had an unrivaled string of successes.
He served as an Assistant Staff Judge Advocate, a Deputy Staff
Judge Advocate, an Area Defense Counsel, on the Air Staff, and two tours
as a Wing Staff Judge Advocate.
A war fighting judge advocate, he served in a deployed Lt Col Dixie A. Morrow
Colonel Morrow has distinguished herself in the performance of
outstanding service to the CDR Thomas Dorwin
Commander Dorwin has served the United States Navy,
and our nation, with distinction throughout his career.
He has served as a trial and defense lawyer in America’s
heartland; as a Staff Judge Advocate to major commands on both coasts;
as principal legal advisor and security officer on a nuclear aircraft
carrier; as legal advisor to the Iraqi High Tribunal assisting in the
prosecution of top figures of the Ba’ath party responsible for war
crimes, crimes against humanity, and genocide; to a preeminent role as
Executive Officer of Region Legal Service Office, Japan, where he deals
with high profile legal issues that impact the alliance between the U.S.
and Japan. Commander Dorwin
has excelled in each of these varied settings, bringing immense legal
skill, leadership, and innovation to each endeavor.
His exceptional professional ability, steadfast initiative, and
selfless dedication to duty reflect great credit upon him and uphold the
highest traditions of the United States Naval Service CAPT Jerry D. Massie
Captain Massie has served the United States Navy and our nation with
superior dedication. Captian
Massie’s outstanding professionalism, initiative, perseverance and
devotion to duty during his tenure and throughout his 30 years of
service has made a significant and real difference in the lives of
thousands of service members: in his advocacy at the Discharge Review
Board, as a vigorous trial attorney, in his thoughtful opinions
supporting the Bureau of Personnel and most notable, in the quality of
review of criminal cases in the Department of the Navy over the last
decade. His leadership to
subordinates is what truly distinguishes this superlative officer.
Captain Massie has shared his
keen intellect, fervent work ethic, and moral character with a quiet,
often self-deprecating warmth, kindness and humor - a rare combination
of traits that has made him and his many contributions unique and
extraordinary. LCDR
Michael Antonellis
Lieutenant Commander Antonellis is recognized for his distinguished
performance of duty during a career reflecting exceptional professional
accomplishment, scholarship, leadership, community involvement.
His eleven-year practice as a
Coast Guard judge advocate is decorated with high visibility
contributions to the maritime safety, security, and environmental
protection of the LtCol Stephanie Smith
Lieutenant Colonel
Smith is a pioneer in the Marine Corps judge advocate community.
She has spent a career serving the Corps and accomplishing the
mission. She was the first
female Marine judge advocate to serve in Somalia; the first female
Marine judge advocate to serve as a Marine Expeditionary Unit (Special
Operations Capable) Staff Judge Advocate; the first female Marine to
serve as a Landing Force Operations Center senior watch officer; the
first female Marine judge advocate to serve with a NATO Headquarters in
Kosovo; and the first female Marine judge advocate to serve in a
deployed Combat Operations Center in Iraq.
Departing next week for a tour in Afghanistan, Lieutenant Colonel
Smith’s recent successful service as a three-star command Deputy Staff
Judge Advocate highlights a career marked with professionalism,
initiative, high moral standards, and abiding commitment to community
service.
