CDR Jeffrey C. Good, USCG (Ret.)

A 1982 graduate of the Coast Guard Academy, CDR Good received his Juris Doctorate degree from the University of Hawaii in 1992, along with a Master's Degree in Business Administration and a Graduate Certificate in Ocean Policy. He saw duty in Coast Guard Cutters home-ported in Key West and Charleston, South Carolina, and served as Assistant Chief of Coast Guard Law Enforcement in Honolulu, Hawaii. Upon designation as a Judge Advocate, CDR Good was assigned to the Fifth Coast Guard District in Portsmouth, Virginia, where he served in various capacities including trial defense counsel, director of the Defense Assistance and Representation Team, trial counsel, assistant staff judge advocate, and operational law advisor. During this time, he also served a one-year tour as trial defense counsel at the Naval Legal Service Office in Norfolk. In 1996, he transferred to the Maintenance and Logistics Command in Norfolk, Virginia, where he served as assistant chief of the general law branch, and chief of the claims and litigation branch. In 2000, he assumed duties as senior appellate defense counsel in Washington, DC, where he served for three years. In 2003, he was assigned to Coast Guard Headquarters in Washington, DC, as Chief of the Office of Military Justice.  He retired in 2007 and presently works as an Assistant General Counsel at FBI Headquarters in Washington, DC.
