Jobs for JAGs

Each spring the Judge Advocates Association, together with the Federal Bar Association and the American Bar Association, co-hosts a "Jobs for JAGs" seminar in Washington, DC.  This full-day event is designed for Judge Advocates transitioning from active duty to civilian or government practice.  We assemble panels of top attorneys from federal, state, and local agencies, as well as from private practice and industry, to share tips and insights on finding legal employment.  Many of the panelists are former or retired JAGs, with first-hand knowledge on selling your JAG experience to potential employers.  For a great write-up on the Jobs for JAGs program, see the June 2006 edition of "The Federal Lawyer."  The 2008 seminar will be held on May 2, 2008, at the Army and Navy Club.  Click here to register online.  To whet your appetite, here are some tips from Bill Suter and Bill Lehman from their annual publication "Thinking about Retirement?"
